Cimarron Canyon State Park and scenic mountain trails in the Sangre de Cristo Range are nearby, and skiing is available at Taos, Red River, or Angel Fire within about an hour's drive.

Nature & Night Sky

The inn is surrounded by 200 acres of wilderness frequented by mule deer, pronghorn antelope, fox, and wild turkey. There is no man-made light pollution, so guests can see the Milky Way and a clear night sky from the property. The inn provides outdoor chairs on the patio and lawn for stargazing, and the staff will turn off outdoor lights upon request.
